For buyers
- Pay on the site. Always use the Add to Cart or Buy Now buttons. Checkout runs through Stripe, so your card details never reach the seller.
- Never pay another way. If a seller asks for a wire transfer, gift cards, Zelle, Cash App, crypto or a “friends and family” payment, don’t. Report the listing.
- Check the shop. Look at the seller’s other listings and how long they’ve been on the site. A brand-new shop with a too-good price deserves extra care.
- Read the listing. Check condition, shipping cost and photos before you buy. Ask questions first if anything is unclear.
- Keep your receipt. Your order confirmation email has the order number. Disputes are between you and the seller, so keep records of what you agreed.
- Watch for fake emails. We never ask for your password by email or text. Links in our emails always go to this site.
For sellers
- Only ship paid orders. Ship only after you get our “You made a sale” email and the payment shows in your Stripe dashboard.
- Ignore overpayment offers. A buyer who wants to pay extra and have you send back the difference is running a scam.
- Ship to the address on the order. Don’t change the delivery address because a buyer emails you a new one.
- Use tracking. Ship with tracking and keep the receipt, especially for expensive items.
- Protect your account. Use a strong password you don’t use anywhere else, and never share it. Stripe will never ask for your login by email.
- List only what’s allowed. Check the prohibited items list. Three removed listings suspend a shop.
